B2 is a 10 mL vial of Staphylococcus epidermidis (previously Staphylococcus albus) live broth.
S. epidermidis is a very hardy microorganism, consisting of non-motile Gram-positive cocci, arranged in grape-like clusters.
It forms white raised colonies approximately 1-2 millimetres in diameter after overnight incubation.
Best results after 48 hours incubation. This bacterium is part of normal human skin flora, it can also be found in the mucous membranes and in other animals.
