A pack of 200 Acacia decurrens seeds (Wattle seeds).
Acacia decurrens is a medium sized tree native to NSW and QLD. It has a grey trunk and produces masses of golden yellow ball shaped flowers.
It is fast growing and hardy, but thrives in a war temperate climate.
The seeds can be sown year round and germinate readily.
However, the seeds have a hard outer coating which needs to be scarified by abrading, or boiling before germination will occur.
This product is suitable for heat germination practicals.
Qty: 1 Pack of 200 seeds.
Notes:
- The optimum germination temperature is approximately 18-22°C.
- To germinate, pour boiling water over the seeds and allow to soak overnight.
- Once swollen the seed is ready to be sown.
- Germination will occur 10-21 days after germination if the seeds are maintained within the optimum germination temperature.
