Forensic Body Fluid Slide Set

Enhance students' understanding of basic techniques applied in forensic science with this inquiry-centred activity kit.

Based on 3 forensic scenarios, students study prepared microscope slides of unknown body fluid samples and compare them to a visual database of known samples in order to identify the evidence found at a crime scene. 

Then they examine the morphology of spermatozoa and red blood cells in various species, and distinguish gender based on chromosome analysis and the presence of Barr bodies.
