The Wave Demonstration Spring Kit offers a toolset for comprehensive wave motion studies within the classroom setting.
Included are two distinctive springs specifically designed for this purpose.
The first spring, often referred to as a "slinky spring," is approximately 70mm in diameter and 100mm in length, with an stretch potential of around 10 metres.
The second spring, measuring around 20mm in diameter and 1.8 metres in length, also stretches to 10 metres.
Both springs are coated with an electroplated layer to prevent corrosion and are crafted from high-quality steel, ensuring their resilience and ability to revert to their original forms post-usage.
It's important to note that excessive stretching and mishandling can lead to strain and deformation.
These springs facilitate a multitude of wave motion experiments, encompassing the graphical analysis of pulses and waves, the exploration of transverse and longitudinal waves, examination of periodic waves including amplitudes and periods, investigations into wave reflections from stationary and mobile ends, and the study of standing waves.
